Module 3

Module 3
overview

Integrating the patient voice through patient-reported outcomes

Module 3 will focus on the role of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in clinical practice to monitor outcomes important to patients, as well as the use of digital health in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This module will present the opportunity to share your own experiences of innovative solutions, speak to the experts about their experiences with PROs in IBD management and interrogate recent literature about the use of PROs.

Learning objectives

  • Explain the current role of PROs in practice, their value and their limitations
  • Choose the optimum PROs to evaluate different patient-important outcomes
  • Evaluate the value of digital health tools and wearables in monitoring PROs
  • Identify gaps in current PROs, in relation to the concept of comprehensive disease control, and consider how these gaps could be filled
