Dr Blumenstein MD PHD is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Head of the IBD Unit at Goethe University Hospital. She is a board member of the German IBD Study Group and the Competence Network IBD. She has contributed to the evaluation and improvement of treatment of IBD and gastrointestinal cancer and earnt the Ismar Boas Prize in 2001. Dr Blumenstein is a teaching faculty member for the German Society for Digestive and Metabolic Diseases, has co-authored over 30 published papers, and has been principal, co-principal and senior investigator in Phase II and III clinical trials.
