Roberto Caporali

Professor Roberto Caporali is Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Milan and Director of the Department of Rheumatology and Medical Sciences at the ASST Gaetano Pini-CTO. His research interests include the management of rheumatoid arthritis and seronegative spondyloarthritis, with a particular focus on prognostic factors and biomarkers. Professor Caporali has been an author on more than 400 papers published in peer‑reviewed journals, primarily on rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.

Professor Caporali is a steering committee member of two national rheumatology registries used to gather insights on patients receiving advanced therapies: the Lombardy Rheumatology Network (LORHEN) and the Gruppo Italiano per lo Studio della Early Arthritis (GISEA).
